It has come to our attention that there is a phone scam going on where a person will call you saying they are from Canadian Domain Name service or from a tech firm. They will say that your computer is compromised with viruses and that they need access to your computer. Under no cercumstances should you allow anyone access to your computer. They have been giving out our number as a call back number. CADNS will never call you asking to gain access to your computer or asking you for your password.

Answer: For issues with registering a .ca domain name, or for an existing .ca domain registration, E-mail is the best method if the problem is not of a severe or critical nature. By all means contact us by phone if you have a critical problem with your .ca domain registration, or if you wish to explain the problem to one of our technical staff.
